THE ITALIAN PIANO SONATAS PROJECT

In the wonderful italian MAZZUCCHELLI MUSEUMS there is the house of the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli's Steinway & Sons Piano Grand (1954) ** .

Thanks to the great intersts and passions by Mr. Pietro Giaconimi, president, Ms. Angela Gemignani, vice-president and Ms. Lara Alberti, Director of the Mazzucchelli Museums Stefano Miceli's reviving the wonderful ABM piano grand and recording* some rare sonatas by Domenico Cimarosa for CENTAUR RECORDS ( USA ).

The "Italian Piano Sonatas" is the title of the new CD by Stefano Miceli
(sonatas by D. Cimarosa, M. Clementi, L. Cherubini, P.D. Paradisi ).

A 2012 new ambitious project in wich the former discendant of the Neapolitan Piano School and italian Steinway Artist Stefano Miceli  redevelops the rich beauty of the XVIII Century sonatas for forte-piano  reinterpreted on the modern piano also involving the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli 's historical Steinway piano.

Focussed recitals, lectures, masterclasses, lectio magistralis, audio-video sections and guest artists will complete the large 2012 "italian piano sonatas program and activity by Stefano Miceli  around the world.

"The Italian Piano Sonatas" CD ( CENTAURS Records) official presentation will be  in New York City  ( april 28th, 2012 ) in collaboration with the cultural diplomacy headed by the Hon. Steve Acunto ( Hon. Vice Consul and President of the NY Italian Academy Foundation).
